Valtatech Secures Malaysia Digital Status, Leading the Way in PEPPOL E-Invoicing and IRBM e-Invoice Compliance
July 19, 2024
Melbourne, Victoria, 19 July 2024 — Valtatech is pleased to announce that we have been awarded Malaysia Digital Company (MD) Status and PEPPOL Access Point MDEC-accreditation status by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). This is major milestone in our journey towards enhancing business efficiency, productivity and support the digital transformation of both public and private sectors, enabling Malaysia to stay competitive in the global digital economy.
Valta Technology Sdn Bhd received the Malaysia Digital (MD) company status and the MDEC-accredited PEPPOL Service Provider status at the National e-Invoicing Open Day and Accreditation Day, M Resort and Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 16 July 2024. That was a double celebration!
Our status as a MD company and a PEPPOL Access Point service provider is a testament to our dedication and ability to advance the digital transformation ambitions of Malaysia’s business sector, especially in the area of Source-to-Pay transformation, IRBM e-Invoicing compliance and interoperability. We are fully aligned with the stringent requirements of OpenPeppol and MDEC to offer businesses a safe, reliable and secured environment for businesses as well as trading partners to exchange eInvoices.
“Embracing interoperable e-invoicing is the way forward for companies looking to boost efficiency and security while also making a positive impact on the environment and society!” said a spokesperson for Valtatech
“By eliminating manual data entry and paper handling, businesses can streamline their processes and reduce the risk of errors. With encrypted data transmissions, cross-border transactions become smoother and more secure. Plus, cutting down on paper usage and carbon emissions will help companies align with their environmental, social, and governance goals. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved!”
As of July 2024, companies with Malaysia Digital (MD) Status enjoy several benefits that support their growth and expansion strategies. Some of these are –
- Access to local and regional markets (ASEAN) and ecosystems with the support of MDEC
- Allocation of foreign knowledge worker quota and issuance of passes
- Anticipated tax incentives, including income tax exemption or investment tax allowance
- Business matching and partnership opportunities
- Grant and funding facilitation
- Participation in MD catalytic programmes
These benefits are designed to help MD Status companies thrive in the digital economy ecosystem.
